2.2 The page builder tour (don’t skip this part)
After you’ve chosen a template and are taken to the page builder, at first glance it might seem like there’s a lot going on. Don’t worry! The Page Builder is a bit like your TV’s remote — there are a lot of buttons at your fingertips, but if you’re looking for a quick and simple start, you can go that route too.
There are a few key components of the builder you’ll need at first, and the following tour will give you an overview so you can hit the ground running.
Bare Necessities:
The toolbar at the very top of the Page Builder allows you to perform the most common functions including:
Save
Redo
Paste
Undo
Copy
Preview
If you’re working on a page that’s already been published, you also have the option of republishing your page from inside the builder.
The widget panel on the left of the builder includes drag and drop options for text, images and everything else you can add to your page.
Remember, you can only drag page elements like text and images onto page sections.
Drag in more page sections from the widget panel, or just adjust the page sections you have in your template already.
You can always expand the Page Contents Tab for an itemized list of all the parts of your page.
The main screen is where you’ll place and edit the elements on your landing page, and toggle between Desktop and Mobile versions.
Finally, the properties pane on the right is where you can set page links, metadata, customize finer details like background images or button color, and set your page’s conversion goal.
